Needless to say, I love pink! I've tried a couple of pink back covers but the color of the smart cover and the back cover were quite different shades but Dolce seems to have hit the right color just perfect. This back cover is not a hard plastic, it's a semi-hard material and is flexible. It fits the ipad like a glove. Access to buttons and everything is easy. The case integrates with the ipad very nicely. Worth every penny.
